While this guide is not meant to be a full manual of the Avaya PBX and phone system, I am hoping it can be used to by people with limited telephony experience, but may have to carry out some basic operations...
Making changes to an extension
From the terminal enter:
cha st extn-number
You can then change any required settings.
Or from the Site Administration tool, click ‘Change User’ and type in the extension number. Not all of the settings are available from this option. Basically, you have the option to change the telephone display name, the telephone type or any of the phone features.
If you need to change any of the advanced settings you will need to use the GEDI or the Terminal Emulator.
