While this guide is not meant to be a full manual of the Avaya PBX and phone system, I am hoping it can be used to by people with limited telephony experience, but may have to carry out some basic operations...
Checking the settings for a station
It is a good habit to check a phone’s settings before making any changes. To display a telephone’s settings use the command:
disp st extn-number
There are about four pages of settings. The first page displays the Extension number, display number and phone type. The second page, displays more details settings and the third and forth pages display the buttons you can program commands to, depending on the phone type.
